Every time I've been on a whale watching trip off the east coast the humpback whales have been accompanied by pods of Atlantic white-sided dolphins. On one trip a juvenile humpback was spy-hopping within 30 feet of our boat while a pair of white-sided dolphins continually leapt over it's head. They were simply playing together while delighting everyone aboard the boat. This is my conception of these wonderful creatures from an underwater viewpoint.
